How do I advertise online if I have no website?
Not having a website or an appropriate website (it is the same thing) does not mean you do cannot advertise online. There are options, and cost-effective ones at that; including landing pages created by media owners or group pages such as a Facebook group.
Most media owners or online agencies will create a landing page for you on their domain for minimal cost or for free, depending on your media spend.
This entails having a page or two hosted on another website, but containing all your information and offers. These pages can be created quickly and simply, and you can decide what goes onto them. On that page, you can place your contact telephone numbers and e-mail address, and have customers contact you directly.
So a landing page is a mini-website on someone else’s domain which contains all your information. It allows you to advertise online and have the clicks go through to your landing pages containing all your information.
A Facebook group is another way of creating a cost-effective or 'free' web page carrying all your information. The trick is then to advertise that group, get members and fans on it, and then start communicating to them.
So, no website – no problem. Bad website – there is a simple solution. But always keep in mind that if you are not an established brand and have a landing page or group on the Web, instil a level of credibility to ensure that users want to use you as a supplier.
And always remember: hard work is not a substitute for knowledge and capability.
